Action Long Island is a not-for-profit networking and advocacy organization. ALI brings together business, education and civic community leaders with various levels of government officials to proactively advocate issues that hinder economic development and the quality of life on Long Island.

Advancement for Commerce, Industry & Technology (ACIT) is one of Long Island's oldest and largest networking organizations. Founded in 1963, it is a not-for-profit corporation represented by virtually every type of business and service, both large and small.

Art League of Long Island is a community center serving 155 Long Island towns and villages year-round. The Art League presents a full calendar of workshops, exhibitions, activities and classes for artists of all ages and abilities. The League is a not-for-profit service organization that is the oldest and largest of its kind on Long Island.

AHRC Nassau in partnership with family members, is committed to enriching the lives of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. For over 60 years, AHRC Nassau has been providing an array of services and family supports for more than 2,200 people with special needs throughout Nassau County.

Babylon Industrial Development Agency (BIDA) serves as the Town of Babylon's central vehicle for economic development. This site is intended for companies within Babylon which are seeking information on financing, expansion and job-retention programs as well as other businesses which may be contemplating a relocation to the Town of Babylon.

Black Women Enterprises is a statewide, LI based organization promoting minority owned businesses. BWE provides seminars, counseling, and assistance with government contracts.

Brookhaven IDA Since 1980 the Brookhaven IDA has issued tax exempt and taxable bonds and real estate tax abatements to help companies locate and expand in the Town of Brookhaven.

Brookhaven SCORE chapter in Suffolk County on Long Island was formed in 1973 and is comprised of volunteers who are working and retired business owners and corporate executives. These counselors offer FREE expert professional help to aspiring and established small business owners through in person counseling and small business workshops.

Community Development Corporation of Long Island is a 40 year old community development organization helping LI's distressed communities with affordable housing, small business loans and other valuable services.

East End Women's Network was founded in 1982. The purpose of this organization is to bring together women of diverse accomplishment and experience, directing women into policy-making positions through the dissemination and sharing of career opportunities; to educate members and the public on issues affecting women on the East End; and to promote the interests, conditions and positions of women in science, business, industry, labor, government, the arts, education and public service.

Eastern Long Island Executives Business Roundtable (ELIE) is an active organization, which for over 30 years has been dedicated to the promotion of business on the East End of Long Island. An organization where a group of active, successful, dynamic business and professional people have an opportunity to network; to develop working relationships; and to make contacts and connections that improve everyone's bottom line. We work together and individually on a common ground that is for the benefit of Eastern Long Island, as well as for the business and professional activities of all members.

Eastern Suffolk County SCORE Chapter #691 is currently meeting with clients in the Riverhead Town Hall.


ExecuLeaders is a non-profit business association dedicated to educating the business community in methods and techniques of sales, marketing and networking, as well as helping foster new business opportunities.

Empire State Development Corporation offers loans, grants and tax credits, as well as other financing and technical assistance, to support businesses and encourage their growth within New York State. 
 
The Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA), which has a membership of approximately 800 companies throughout LI, is a grass-roots, pro-active 22- year old business organization that focuses on the economic health and well-being of its member companies and that of the entire Long Island business community. HIA provides services and programs focusing on international trade, human resources, business development, government affairs, manufacturing, technology, environment, education, engineering, transportation, energy and much more.

Huntington Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of business, industry, financial service, not-for-profit and other professionals within the greater Huntington area. Its mission is the promotion of business, economic development and job creation through the coordinated effort of its membership.

Islip IDA is a public benefit corporation of the State of New York, established in 1974. It is a quasi-governmental, tax-exempt Agency whose purpose is to promote, develop, encourage and assist in acquiring, developing and equipping various business facilities, thereby advancing the job opportunities, general prosperity and economic welfare of the people of Islip Town.

Long Island Association (LIA) is the region's largest business and civic organization and brings together business, labor, government and academia in a shared effort to improve the Island as a place to live, work and do business.

Long Island Fair Media Council is an advocate for complete coverage and unbiased reporting in major news media of events on Long Island.

Long Island Community Foundation (LICF) is a nonprofit, charitable organization that connects donors with the full spectrum of charitable organizations within our community.

Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT) is a not-for-profit organization that provides Long Island businesses with hands-on assistance and a wide range of programs to lower the cost of operations and increase growth. LIFT has a team of engineering and management professionals that apply technology and proven process methodologies in areas such as manufacturing, marketing and product development. They have a membership-driven committee structure, and provide educational and networking events on Long Island.

Long Island Business Development Council (LIBDC) is a moving force behind Long Island's economic development. It has been successful in aiding Long Island business to expand, attracting new business to the region and creating jobs. The Council is comprised of major government officials from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York State, as well as county, town and village industrial development agencies and economic development departments.

Long Island Labor Market Information is a service of the Long Island Research & Statistics Office of the NYS  Department of Labor on behalf of the Workforce Development Systems of Nassau and Suffolk Counties

Long Island MidSuffolk Business Action (LIMBA) is Long Island's catalyst for transportation and economic improvement, sponsoring weekly breakfast forums featuring Long Island business activists and government officials, as well as providing leadership in advancing new projects.

Long Island Partnership is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in New York to act as the external marketing agency for the economic & employment development of Long Island. It encourages and facilitates the expansion of businesses already on Long Island as well as the re-location of businesses to Long Island.

Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) became Long Island's non-profit electric utility on May 28, 1998. LIPA delivers electricity to nearly 1.1 million customers, and is highly rated for service restoration and is in the top tier for uninterrupted service among all NYS utilities with above-ground service.

Long Island Software & Technology Network (LISTnet) has a mission to promote Long Island as one of the national centers of excellence for Software and Technology solutions. This is achieved by facilitating collaborations between companies, establishing forums and events for the exchange of information, improving the quantity of the labor force and partnering with companies that provide the High technology Centers necessary for the growth of L.I. software and technology companies.

Nassau County Clerk's Office has many of the forms, instructions and guides that may be needed when conducting business in Nassau County.

Nassau County Department of Economic Development - Business Development Unit seeks to make Nassau County the preferred destination for growing businesses. The BDU matches business needs with a portfolio of product, program and service solutions that businesses are looking for to take care of their expanding needs.

National Association of Women Business Owners - LI Chapter was founded and chartered in 1986 by a group of progressive women entrepreneurs who saw a need to enhance the growth of women business owners in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, in the State of New York.

NationalGrid is the largest distributor of natural gas in the Northeast, with 2.5 million gas customers and more sthan 12,000 employees. NationalGrid is also the largest investor-owned electric generator in New York State and operates Long Island Power Authority's electric system serving 1.1 million customers.

New York Real Estate Journal is the largest weekly commercial investment real estate newspaper in the State of New York covering all aspects of the commercial real estate industry.

Riverhead IDA helps existing Riverhead businesses expand and new businesses to locate in Riverhead. This is
accomplished by serving businesses as an aggressive, accelerated conduit and pathfinder through the government/financial maze.

SCWBEC  the goal - to break down the barriers to get women-owned businesses (WBEs) on the bid lists for government agencies, and to make women owned businesses known to the government and private sector.  Any woman whose business or residence is located in Suffolk County, NY and she alone, or together with one or more women, own at least 51% of interest in the business.

Suffolk County IDA providing Solutions to Retain & Grow Our Companies.  The Suffolk County IDA provides three levels of tax incentives: Property Tax Relief, Sales Tax Relief and Mortgage Tax Relief. Additionally the IDA can issue bonds on behalf of companies.

Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC) is part of Suffolk County Executive Office of Human Affairs, and provides assistance to help WBE's compete for NYS, Suffolk County and local contracts through seminars and networking.

SUNY Stony Brook Business Information

WEDLI is a regional organization concerned with all of Long Island.
