LIDC staff conducted the annual SCORE Fundraiser this past month at Louie's in Pt Washington. SCORE is the Service Corps. of Retired Executives, a national organization of 11,000 volunteers who mentor and counsel entrepreneurs. Roz Goldmacher, President of LIDC, also serves as the Corporate Secretary of National SCORE. LIDC hosts the Bethpage branch of SCORE as well as the toll free 800 number for the five LI SCORE chapters.
Roz serves as Chair of the LI SCORE Board. Also involved with SCORE are Lou Campanelli, corporate member of LIDC, and a member of the national SCORE Foundation. Past honorees have included Roz, LIDC First VP John DeFranza; LIDC Treasurer Phyllis Hill Slater, LIDC Advisory Board member Michelle DiBenedetto and LIDC past President John Garvey. This year's honoree was Anthony Libertella, Dean Adelphi University Business School and Chair of LIDC's Advisory Board. The event raised $9000 to benefit the SCORE Foundation and the LI SCORE Chapters.
