VM-Manufacturing
Wins Gov't Contracts With Help of LIDC
|
| |
VM
Manufacturing Corporation, Inc., started by Vincent Marzigliano
in 1999, is currently doing business with major government
and private industry entities. Although his company had
already achieved an impressive level of local success,
in 2003 Vincent sought to expand VMs sphere of customers.
He attended a seminar on how to do
business with major private industry and government entities. This
was one of many across the island presented by Long Island Development
Corporations (LIDC) Procurement Technical Assistance Program
(PTAP pronounced P-TAP) and just the help and guidance Vincent
was looking for to expand his business. To the people at PTAP, VM
Manufacturing Corporation, Inc. was and is a perfect example of
how a relatively small company acquires the know-how to do business
in a much bigger way. MORE

BACKGROUND |
 |
Long Island Procurement Technical Assistance Program was formed to help the small
businesses of Long Island expand and grow via additional government and private sector work. |
PTAP is governed by a multi-faceted committee representing the diverse economy of Long Island,
including financial institutions, quasi-governmental agencies, businesses and foundations. These
participants provide a wealth of resources for the benefit of the small business clients of PTAP.

The Long Island PTAP started its operation in 1986, enabling firms to receive contract awards at the
multimillion dollar level. Coupled with the Procurement Program is a full complement of business
and technical services including financing, diversification, exporting, retraining, etc. All of Long
Island's economic development resources are brought to PTAP's clients through the LIDC PTAP. The Procurement Program's efforts can thus truly provide interested companies with a well rounded
foundation for future growth.

LIDC's staff will counsel you expeditiously at our offices, your office, elsewhere or by telephone, free
of charge. |
