The Sally Slacke-Dorothy Tripp Award, provided by Roz Goldmacher, Judith Beckman and Ilene Krupnick, in honor of two deceased WEDLI members, was awarded to Lisa Hunter at WEDLI’s Annual Installation Dinner.

Sally Slacke was a long time board member and officer of LIDC and instrumental in founding numerous economic development organizations on LI. Dorothy Tripp was a valued member of LIDC's Advisory Board and worked closely with LIDC on projects in Hempstead where she served in the Dept. Industry and Commerce.

Lisa Hunter will apply her scholarship award to fund further training with Hofstra's Entrepreneurial Program. This will aid her in the start-up of V2K Window Decor & More, a franchise window covering business.
