VETERAN LENDER JOINS LIDC/GNYDC

Veteran banker, James C. Howard, has been hired as Vice President Lending by Long Island Development Corp.-Greater NY Development Co. (LIDC-GNYDC), a 25 year old not-for-profit economic development organization which makes affordable loans to small businesses throughout NYS. LIDC-GNYDC is not a bank, but a small business lender that has lent over $1 billion during its existence mostly through the SBA 504 Loan Program. These loans are used for the purpose of buying buildings and land, for making capital improvements and for buying equipment and machinery. In his new position Howard will specialize in long term, low fixed rate second mortgages for small business. He has spent his 20-year career in the banking industry having been with financial entities such as GE Capital, Unity Bank and most recently with the Small Business Loan Source.
