Patricia A. Cook Appointed Deputy Director To Aid Small Businesses

 

Patricia A. Cook was recently promoted to Deputy Director of the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) at the Long Island Development Corporation. PTAP is a government-funded program whose mission is to help small businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties to grow and prosper by assisting them, at no charge, to obtain and perform on Government contracts.

Previously serving as the Government Procurement Specialist, Cook's new position puts her as second in command of this 19-year effort to help small businesses. The program has brought over $1 Billion in government contracts to Long Island businesses. Prior to coming to LI's PTAP program, Cook's career spanned 30 years of experience as a Government Contracts Specialist/Small Business Liaison Officer and she has been recognized for her work with the Defense Supply Centers, NASA and other federal agencies.
