Patricia (Patty) A. Cook is the new Procurement Technical Assistance (PTAP) Specialist with Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC). This division of LIDC assists small business in winning contracts with government entities and major corporations by walking them through the red tape and procedures associated with responding to requests for proposals (RFP's) for goods and services. Ms. Cook has worked in the field of government contracts for the past 25 years and is conversant with all facets of government procedures and contract regulations and has experience serving as liaison and advisor to small business owners. Cook is active as a member of several committees and trade organizations and has received awards from the Defense Supply Center, Richmond and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for her outstanding performance. In addition to her responsibilities with regard to PTAP, Patty will also be working with Long Island Small Business Assistance Corporation (LISBAC) in its outreach to women-owned businesses with financing assistance, technical expertise and business practices training seminars.
