NYC SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION ASSISTED BY GROWING CONTRACTOR

New construction and retrofit of existing school buildings is increasing to meet the needs  of a growing school age population in New York City. Aging structures are either being renovated or torn down to make way for new construction to meet demand. One company assisting in this renaissance is Admiral Construction, which for the past 17 years has been acting as general contractors specializing in school renovation and  construction. Principals Dave Jurakhan, Juan Cifuentes and Michael Moskowitz are typical of successful NY immigrants. Unity Bank is providing a 50% first mortgage loan with Greater New York Development Co./Long Island Development Corp. providing a 40% second mortgage loan to enable the purchase and renovation of the new property. The expansion will allow the company to add twelve new employees to its existing crews and bring some subcontracting jobs in house in its larger quarters, thereby  leading to operating efficiencies and increased quality control. All of this bodes well for NYC schools as this contractor gears up for bigger projects.
