CHILDCARE FACILITY EXPANDS WITH AFFORDABLE FINANCING

         One of the major challenges for any business is finding and keeping good employees. In today’s two wage earner families, this requires being sensitive to childcare issues for employees. It is good then to report that at least one well known family daycare provider is expanding to meet the needs of more of LI’s employees- Rozzie’s Day Care (no relation to the author of this article).

         Rozzie’s is a group family day care provider which accepts children from 6 weeks through 13 years of age from  the Roosevelt Long Island community and surrounding communities. Founded by an experienced child care provider, Rosalind Kennedy, Rozzie’s Day Care currently cares for 38 children. To serve the needs of the community, where demand for child care far outstrips the supply, the facility  needed to become a full service day care center.  To do so, there are numerous physical location requirements which make building ownership preferable due to the financial investment.

         The first step was to find a  suitable location. Same was found in a 12,500 square foot building  on Nassau Road in Roosevelt. The next step for the company was putting together a suitable financing package which would make it affordable and not require a significant rise in rates charged to parents for the services.
